Case study

Olera

The brief

Where Olera started

Olera had a genuinely good extra-virgin oil and a shelf full of look-alikes to beat — rustic Italian labels, gold foil, tuscan hills. To a shopper scanning the aisle, every bottle read the same.

Our job: give Olera a name and a look that stops that scan — premium enough to justify the price, distinct enough to spot from three metres away, and a system the team could roll out across bottle, packaging and retail without us.

What we did

The work

Every decision made against the strategy, then handed over as usable tools.

01Naming & StrategyLanded on “Olera” and a positioning built around everyday, unfussy quality.
02Wordmark & TypeA high-contrast serif wordmark with a signature swash on the R.
03Colour & Label ArtChartreuse and deep olive-green, with playful lino-cut olive characters.
04Packaging SystemBottle label, shipper boxes, mailer bag, tape and retail shelf-strip.
The output
The outcome

What changed

Olera hit the shelf looking like the premium option, not another import knock-off. The chartreuse block does the heavy lifting from across the aisle, and the packaging system means every touchpoint — bottle, box, mailer, tape — reads as one brand.

We wanted to look like we belonged next to the expensive stuff. Now we do.
